If I buy a rifle in 308 or a caliber that has a 308 as the parent cartridge, can I put on an after market barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor without changing the bolt? I thought it might be nice to buy a base gun to shoot the hell out of and get used to, as this will be my first custom build, and give myself an idea about what I want as far as bottom metal, style of stock, etc. Thanks for any help!
