I’m new to this forum and new to long range shooting, not new to firearms. But, I recently am trying to get into long range precision shooting. I have a Tikka T3 .243 and i recently bought a chassis, new barrel and other things to try my luck at long range shooting. Tonight I just got a new bipod and wanted to mess around with it in the prone and practice loading and unloading. Well my bolt won’t fully seat in the action. I’ve never had this happen to me before. It’s been locked in the case for the last 2-3 weeks.

I’m assuming the bolt got locked in loaded position and don’t know how or if that’s even possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Yep. Put the firing pin on the edge of the table. Pull the bolt down to compress the spring and rotate the bolt counter clockwise (left). The firing pin needs to rest at the top of the ramp and not in the valley.
