Hey fellas how often you guys taking the bolt apart and cleaning it. I just purchased I rifle here on the hide and the previous owner said he cleaned the barrel and bolt every 40 rounds. The rifle is quite a shooter kinda feel bad not cleaning it I have about 30 rounds through it probably wont clean it till accuracy starts to fall but I have never honestly cleaned a bolt and I shoot a lot 2500 rounds a year anyways, are all of my rifles in a dire need of bolt maintanace.

I don't really have a service interval on when I wipe down the FP and clean out the bolt body. If the rifle has been wet I will do it. If it's been awhile I will do it. If I ever get a light strike that will be an immediate inspection and cleaning.
40 rounds is WAY excessive for the barrel and the bolt. I go more than that at each range session and I don't wipe the action down until I am done for the day.
