book vs manufacturers website?

Re: book vs manufacturers website?

Starting loads are comparable for both, if in doubt, average the STARTING loads and ALWAYS work up towards the max anyway.

Loading to the gills from what a book says is rarely a good idea... in fact, while some get away with it, I can't think of a time when it's a good practice.

Re: book vs manufacturers website?

Call them! They all have customer service and love talking. I have a PDF for ever bullet I shoot E-mailed to me from the manufacture. Everyone but Lyman will do this. Lyman says buy our book. I have no reloading manuals I made my own from e-mailed PDF files.

Re: book vs manufacturers website?

While I have a lot of individual loads printed off,tThere is a lot more information in a Lyman's manual than just loads. A lot of basic start up information is being skipped by people too cheap to buy a $20 book. But they don't realize their rifle or their health cost is a lot more.

I suggest you read everything you can on the subject.

well i loaded all the way to the max according to the website
and no pressure signs
so will have to say from now on i'm using website instead of the books for loads
