I am trying to build a rifle in 300 Norma Mag for the Barnes 212 gr Bore Rider with recommended COAL of 3.845.

Is my only option BDL with a Wyatt's extended box?

Will that box work with an Impact LA or the Mausingfield M7 with a Lapua bolt of course and Hawkins M5 Obendorf BDL bottom metal?

Thank you for the education.

Accurate-Mag, PTG, Hawkins, Atlasworx, Badger Ordnance all make DBMs for CIP length.

Accurate-Mag 3.850" mags and PTG CIP DBM is what @RWSGunsmithing used on my 300wm in case I went land-chasing.

From what I know the 4.05 magazine MDT makes only fits one chassis system.

No one seems to make bottom metal for that length magazine and the bolt on the actions may noy come back far enough to pick up a round from the magazine.

I think that leaves BDL and a Wyatt's extended box as the only option. Anyone running one?.

Any other thoughts?
