I'm about to send Robert Snyder a box of parts to put together a Norma long range hunter that will include...

Reminton RUM receiver
PTG 1-Piece bolt
McMillan Remington Hunter
ABS/Benchmark 9.3 twist Sendero contour, finish at 28", .900 at muzzle.

I hope, using a brake, to tame this build to pleasant recoil levels. I really prefer the looks of brakes that can be turned down to match the muzzle diameter on hunting rigs, but it'd be goofy to build a rifle that had too much recoil to shoot well. I have a couple of Badger Thrusters on my workbench. Your thoughts on whether or not I should be more aggressive with brake selection? Or will a Thruster fit the bill?

Got a SAS threaded brake on my .338 NM. Tactical set up. Doubt if its what ur after on a hunting rifle. Mine measures 0.940 at muzzle. If u want to see a pic pm me and I will email. Not set up to post pics on hide yet.
