hi i was breaking in my new savage 110 longrqnge hunter yesterday it has a breake that you can turn on and off i notice grouping kinda went south woth it on . I know i wasnt really looking to perfefect just noticed there was a difference ?

Brakes absolutely CAN change Point of impact. It wouldn’t change your point of aim as that’s on the shooter. I’ve had them go from absolutely no change to inches of change at 100 yards when taking on and off depending on the rifle and brake.

Poi and group size can change on any muzzle device.

I have a 20 inch 6.5g upper that runs with a birdcage and hates my adapter and goes nuts with a can.

I have a 16 inch 223 upper that shoots smaller groups with the adapter and can on any load.

May have to lapp my adapter for the 6.5g and try again but it did not seem loose.

You harmonics change every time I think and sometimes a load can fix it.

I think my 6.5g may be an exception.
