It's dirty and it goes "bang". If that's what you are looking for then russian steel case will work.
If you actually want to hit something smaller than minute of man to 300, then look elsewhere.
Depending on the rifle, you may get light strikes. The last time I had a chance to fire Silver Bear .308 it was in a FNAR. The FN did NOT like it. It had light strikes on almost every round. However just for shits and grins I slapped a couple in my 700 and they fired with no problem.

This. I've gotten 3-4 MOA from steel cased ammo (Wolf or Brown Bear) regardless of what platform it was shot in, bolt or semi. I treat it as acceptable for use in a carbine match, or for letting people just blast away, but that's all it's going to ever be good for. You'd probably have much more luck picking up some of the brass-cased berdan-primed 7.62 surplus out there and seeing if your rifle likes it - and the prices will be about the same.
