Brass for precision Semi-Autos.

Given that SEmi-Autos tend to chew up brass a little faster than bolt guns are you guys splurging on quality brass for precision semi-auto? I guess the AR isn't too hard, but I was gonna do some M1-A/M-14 stuff and that thing kicks the **** outta brass (Not exactly precision, but I can dream).

M14 practice was four or five firings and that case is done.
I have used everything from Federal, GI "once fired" LC, Winchester, PMC, etc., and they all have a lifespan of 4-5 firings. I inspect for imminent case separation and find the number increases dramatically at the 5th-6th reload.

No one mfr was significantly more accurate or longer life with my M14. I just keep it to one headstamp for consistency. Then again, 2 MOA at 600yds is "good enough" to keep me in the 10 ring or as close as possible despite my wobbly hold....
