I have some .308 that was trimmed to 2.000. (Not by me) Specs indicate 2.005 as the minimum. Can I still load and use it? The application would be for some zeroing and range work out to 1000'ish? I don't mind having to change my dope with properly sized reloads afterwards if I can get a good day of shooting out of these... Just want to make sure it's safe and worth the effort of loading. Either way, I am gonna have to fire it to get it back into spec, right?

mainly in theory, maybe you could have a little bit less startin'pressure w.the shorter brass, but nothing you could worry of, nor really appreciate_
right: once fired, problem solved, but before of after it will be safe & worthin'of loading_

To use the RCBS X-Die (eliminates trimming after an initial trim) you have to trim the cases .02 shorter than the max length, so .308 cases get trimmed to 1.995. RCBS says it's okay, and I've shot a bunch of brass trimmed shorter than yours, so shoot away I say.
