ALTHOUGH, from a tactical perspective, if a perp has time to point his gun at himself and pull the trigger WHILE being detained at gunpoint, he also has the time to turn his weapon on YOU, and others around him if he really wished. Take that into account. If you are holding an armed person at gunpoint, ESPECIALLY someone who had just been pumping rounds into other people, "DROP THE WEAPON IMMEDIATELY!" means that he drops the fucking weapon immediately or get his head turned into a canoe right there. This incident could have went badly for our armed civilian. He had been lucky...
