Got out and shot the new rifle today, not grouping the best about a 1" group was the best it would do today, but haven't got my dies for it yet, they are scheduled to ship on June 3rd. Interested to see how it does when I find a load it likes. I was expecting a little more recoil with the magnum case, but it shoots very similarly to the 6.5 Creedmoor, not much recoil at all. Had a great time shooting with good friends this morning.

Good Times!!!

I have "friends in low places" for the lathe work! :) A buddy of mine has a lathe and we ordered a reamer from PTG, used a Rock barrel (Remmington Varmint Countour), McRee Chassis, Jewel Trigger, JP Recoil Eliminator Brake, Stock Remmy 700 LA with Magnum bolt face.

I ordered 50 rounds of 130 grain Bergers loaded with 63 grains of H-1000 already neck turned to fit my chamber from Copper Creek. They had loaded them at 2.900" and that was already touching my lands, so I ended up putting them in my 7SAUM die and "pushing them in a little deeper" Tried a few different OAL, they all seemed to shoot about the same around 1" groups was the best I could get.

I have 100 rounds of brass already prepped and neck turned from Copper Creek, just waiting for my dies to come in. Going to try the 139 Scenars and some 140 grain solids once my dies show up. Looking forward to finding its "sweet spot", I really like the feel of it so far though, literally no felt recoil, very nice for follow through and watching the bullet impact the target. Really liking it so far!!!
