There is a book, and if I remember the title correctly, it is “A History of Great Escapes” by Readers Digest. It was published in the late 70s or early 80s. It is a compilation of a ton of stories of people escaping from totalitarian regimes. The risks they took were extraordinary. 99% of the regimes were socialist in nature.
I would highly recommend it. You will have to buy it on Amazon because it is one of the scarcest books I have seen in the “wild”. I have seen one at a garage sale and one in a US Mil library not open to the public.

Looks like we might have to add some Swiss stories to the book soon.

Concealed carry/handgun defense instructor Marc MacYoung makes a very clear statement on his site http://nononsenseselfdefense.com that the law will take fully into account anything verbal that happened or was exchanged between you and a perp in the case of force being used in a defensive situation. His advice is basically if you retaliated because the guy attacked you right after you told him "to go suck donkey balls", the situation immediately does not qualify as a "self defense" case anymore. It becomes "mutual combat", and both parties are liable for any damages or actions taken.
