Wow, They should have been dead the second the RPG was noticed, that's BS. I understand the necessity of minimal collateral damage but we are talking 5 guys on a street corner with weapons setting up an IED to kill US troops. I say the benefits of killing them outweigh the rist of collateral damage.
Way too much talking in there. The pilots should be briefed on the concept of trying to minimize collateral damage and then leave it on them to make decision and weigh the risks. You trust them with multi million dollar aircraft, trust them with decisions to use them.
