I'm looking to getting into building my first bolt action rifle and am looking for advice on WHERE to find decent ready to go actions that won't break the bank. I found a website that had a ton of options but can't find it now. Any help would be appreciated. I'm gonna start off pretty generic and go Remington/clone 700 due to parts availability. And when I say budget, I'm thinking $4-600 range. Ready, go!

If you want an entire rifle for $500, you're better off buying a Ruger American predator series.

For a cheap 700, it's about $1200 for a Remington receiver ($350), barrel with nut ($450), krg bravo ($350), and trigger ($150-400).

Add a custom action and you'll be $8-1000 for the action.

He specified just r700/clone action not whole rifle

Save up $225 more clams and buy a Bighorn Origin. You’re welcome.
How do I save $225?

Yeah, just looking for a really good value on a receiver for a starting place. I have a LP Fusion Ti in 300PRC custom being built for me right now but I’m thinking about building one myself in 6mm Creedmoor for some volume shooting. I’m wanting to go the DIY route without breaking the bank.

I found a website with a TON of receivers with so many options and I can’t find it anymore. I’m looking for a trued 700 receiver with a teardrop type bolt vs stock. I’d be open to Savage too.

I have a Ruger American Predator. And it’s a shooter. Looking to build my first rifle.

On your budget LRI you can't go wrong with. You can get that Remington 700 action with the side mounted bolt release like the clones and AR15 extractor and dual ejector plunger, plus whatever other features might fit your budget and you might want to choose from fluted bolt to skeletonized bolt handle, give them a call I'm sure they can help you out.
