Rifle Scopes Budget SPR optic

Hello all....I was thinking of going with a Vortex Viper for my SPR but not really sure if I should hold off for the PST line. Did they change the glass? Also what would be comparable in this price range with a 30mm tube. Please don't suggest the SS or Falcon Menace to me. Thanks
