I have one. Put it in both my LR6.5 and my LR308. Used it in the LR6.5 with the stock gas system, and I thought the bolt assembly was really slamming around. I didn't like it...or at least I was really concerned. Removed it and went back to stock. Then put on an adjustable gas block.
Put an adjustable gas block on my LR308, and then I put in the JP captured spring. Felt like it was doing the same thing. Turned down the gas, and it then functioned well with no concerns. I still have it in the LR308.
It's quiet. I'm unsure if the spring rate is just lighter than a stock spring, and certainly lighter than a Tubb spring, or if it just has "less friction".
