Got a build coming in and have a Zeiss v6 5-30x50 ready for it. It’s a Stiller predator with 20 moa rail and a proof sendero barrel. Can I get away with a ring height of .85? Or do I need the 1”? That’s the to center measurement for the Zeiss lows and medium rings

Depends on the clearance you want. Wait tell it comes and use a tape measure is your best bet if you want to play how low can I go.
Do you HAVE to stick with Zeiss rings? 30mm tubes have a ton of choices. You can get anything from .82" to 1.0", and a lot in between. .82" .87", .92" from Seekins alone.
Depends on the height of the Picatinny rails. I had an R700 w. Seekins 20MOA rail, Seekins 30mm .92" "medium high" rings with a March F 3-24x52 over a Proof Sendero and it cleared the caps just fine. Same rifle with Seekins .82" "low" rings and a 3-15x50 Premier BARELY clear the barrel with caps.
