Hey guys and gals I have a question for you all.5 of my buddies and I decided to do a build off And the rules are is that it has to shoot a 6mm projectile and the build has to cost $1100 or less without scope. What action and variant of 6mm joule you choose. Personally I am thinking a Remington 700 stainless with a Krieger 1 in 8 26” mtu contour and if I have enough money go with an X-ray or bravo chassis but I would like to hear your ideas

That’s no fun we are building them lol we are going between 24”-26” and they are gonna be bench/prone guns

Cheapest Tikka with .473 bolt face and fitted with a heavy-ish profile prefit barrel. That should also leave you enough $ to put this contraption in a krg bravo

6BR personally running mdt 6br mags. A r700 with a prefit 6br barrel or a tikka with a prefit 6br barrel In a krg bravo and you’ll be set. (Mines an impact but it’s 6br and she hammers)

This is what I’d choose. And it’s most likely what I’ll choose when I remage my 700

6br is stupid simple and crazy accurate. I love mine. Ultra cheap build. Criterion prefit on a Remington 783. Glass bedded stock. Under .5 at 100.

Remington 700 action, Criterion prefit barrel in your preferred 6mm clambering with a Bighorn barrel nut, stock or chassis you like within your budget, Nightforce scope base (unless that's included in the price of the scope), trigger of your choice.
