Build recommendation

Ok so I am purchasing a Remington 700 sps tactical 308 off of a hide member on here. I am havin trouble deciding how I want to build it and want some experienced input! I have a limited budget and will have to buy the additions a little at a time. My plans for this rifle are long range target shooting and some hunting but i am buildig it for target. The furtest i will shoot will be A hair over 1000 yards.BFirst I am thinking of buying an SS 16x mil dot scope and I am needing help with the base and rings. I'm not knowledgable on the matter and would like to buy something good without completely breaking the bank (no I'm not saying I want cheap crap for anyone thinking that). After I can come up with some cash after that I am wanting a chassis stock. I'm leaning towards the mcreed mainly because I personally think they look freaking awesome. After that ill decide on a trigger then an atlas. What are your thoughts on this set up? Thanks -Garrett

If your going to use it for hunting a fixed 16x probably isnt the best choice in my opinion. TPS makes some affordable base and rings.
