Finally jumping on the bandwagon and building a trainer. Got an extra bolt for my Defiance Elite so I can do a trainer. My big question is on magazines. I'm running a KRG Whiskey 3 Comp Chassis, and my Elite has I believe the AW cut. I have a 9 twist barrel, so planning on running 73 ELD-M's, 69 grain SMK's, etc. If I can find them that is.

Anyone have real world experience on what mags work best with what I'm running. Any other bullets I should be looking for?

Same. I like the accurate mags better. They have a Teflon coating that feels a little weird to me, but they are super well made. I run the MDT metal mags in 308 and live those.

I agree that the Accurate mags are the best I've used. You can use a chainsaw file to extend the case overall length that they will support as well. I have heard that the AI poly mags work well also, but they haven't made them in years.

If you need a 1k or so pills to get you started, I have a reasonable supply of Lapua 69gr scenar-l's. They've been very accurate for me out of 1-9 through 1-7 twist barrels.

I picked up a accurate mag from a member here last week. He claims he extended the case overall length, I don't imagine i'll need to do that for 69-73 grain bullets.

Might be interested, I'll shoot you a PM.
