has anyone done it. i dont hear much about this being done and was curious as to why i shouldn't do it. my main concern thus far is avaibility of aftermarket parts. should i have others

The basic action seems to have a desirable feature: 60deg bolt. Uses a sandwiched recoil lug (a la M700)
But too many unknowns: action footprint/stock inlet, scope base availability, AICS compatible DBM system, match trigger, etc.
Is the Venture the same receiver as the Icon? My guess is NO, since the Venture uses the sandwiched recoil lug and the Icon does not.
Unless you can get a Venture action for next to nothing, it doesn't seem worthwhile....unless you're volunteering as a Beta Tester. Then by all means give it a try and report back.

i have a complete venture 243. i was thinking about selling it and starting fresh with another 700 action or mabye giving the venture a try. i thought the venture and icon were the same action but i could be wrong.

Pull the barrel action from the stock and post of photo of the bottom of the action. Is it flat or round bottom?

The TC Venture has a round action and a recoil lug like the Remington 700 or Savage 110/10. The Icon has a flat bottom like the Winchester 70 or Howa's.
I'm nit sure of the receiver circumference.
