well i had this junky charles daly hi power clone that had just about the worst accuracy i have ever shot. it looked like a shotgun blast.

so i got kind of po'ed so i decided to fix it and make it bad ass.
so here is what i did:

i went out and bought a new barrel from Brownells 9mm nm
bought a new slide Inglis type because i like the looks.
i bought all new internals and parts for the slide original parts for the Inglis type slide
new springs all the away around
remove the magazine disconnect

plans to finish it the right way
strip the nasty paint off of the slide and refinish in matte black
white dot the sights for a 3 dot setup

should look good when i'm done.

Re: built a browning hi power

gone this weekend,

i am finishing up hopefully this next week.

i am trying to win a set of french walnut grips right now

Re: built a browning hi power

update:

i had to fit the slide to the frame by re contouring the lower portion of it.

the barrel will not fit so it is going back to brownells

i am going to get a factory browning barrel, I'll have to hunt it down this week.

all the other parts fit great

i took out the dings on the front of the slide

Re: built a browning hi power

got the slide somewhat stripped, the original paint is somewhat a pain to strip off of the slide. naval jelly will be next.

i have got the frame to the specs i want w/ sanding and fitting so the magazine drops free

i have removed the magazine disconnect.
