Out of curiosity, what buis are you guys running on your POF .308s? I had an arms 40L lying around but wasn't sure if that was a good choice. I was going to go with Troy because it's what I use on my other rifles.

Mahalo,

I dont have any on my P308 at the moment. I plan on adding a set of Surefire Rapid Transition Sights soon. It is the best of both worlds in IMHO. You have an optic and iron sights at the same time.

Use what you have or use what you're used to. It's a BUIS; there really isn't much difference whether you're running them on a POF, LMT, or home build special. What ever you can zero in to your requirements, doesn't break or melt under your extreme end of usage, and allows you to acquire sight picture thereby placing accurate shots on target is sufficient.

Unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket or work on a two way range where the difference in deployment of the sight can make a difference, I suggest you run the ARMS until you discover a reason not to.

I use Troy Micro's on my P-308, and they're zero'd for 200 yds with 147 FMJ. This works fine. The micro's don't have enough elevation adjust in them to get a 100 yard zero on a POF rail if that matters to you, but 50/200 zero works perfect for me.
