until you hold one in your hand you cannot make such statements. i have carried one for years and never had a problem. the extreme degree of the curve almost holds your hand in place. you would have to thrust the knife into something fairly solid with all your upper body strength and then almost completely let go of the handle to experience any slip like you describe. i would not recommend that action with any knife. not to mention, i am not sure why in the world anyone would do that in the first place. this is not some tactical, chop socky "fighting" knife that many guys are so enamored with these days. this is just a knife, despite it's somewhat exotic looks. if it was so simple to slip in the hand. it would have happened to me, the maker, hundreds of times by now. i have been carrying a similar knife on and off for years. never a problem. don't foresee any, either. i have sold many of this particular profile to LEO and military. if there was going to be a problem, they would have found it. thanks for your concern, though.
