I've found an S&B 1.5-6x42 DMR scope which has 4.8 mils of elevation available once zeroed at 100yds. For my application, I would like to shoot out to 600yds & I'm not sure if the scope has sufficient elevation.
Does anyone have real-world bullet drop info for 62gn RG (M855) from a 20" AR out to 600yds?

thanks

Re: Bullet drop info needed

M855 pushes 2950 fps out of my 20" and at 500 yards it's right at 12 moa (3.42 mils). With you wanting to go beyond that I would definitely NOT be comfortable operating in that range of my scope elevation, and would probably shim the base or rings to get the scope more centered in its range so you have more up.

The problem in my mind is that most of my scopes start to adjust funny when they get to the extremes... dial in some windage and you might get some "down" elevation with it at the top of the elevation travel. Maybe the s&b won't have that problem but I'd shoot a box with it to make sure.
