I believe it depends on the conditions more than the distance but don't quote me. I'm just a noob.

If your spotting you can sorta see it at 300m or so.

I was doing the same thing this last weekend. Not a lot of trace but the sunlight was just right to see the bullet flight.

FWIW bullet trace is very easy to see with a high magnification spotting scope and a spotter position above and behind the shooter.

cool vid, if only we could hear the impact would be perfect(musta had the camera close to the bolt). Nice trace though.

I need to get some AR500 plate. That soft metal just lets the bullet fly thru it.

Interesting, I've never seen a vid of a high velocity bullet where you can see the bullet itself.
