I have a problem loading 168gr BTHP Hornadys using RCBS comp dies for a 30-06. they are seaing fine, but stick in the actual seater/stop even after it crimps... whats the deal?

Put some fine/extra fine grit compound on the nose of a bullet and spin it in the die stem for a few dozen revolutions. That usually solves the problem. It sounds like you are seating and crimping at the same step...that seriously increases the forces required to seat and tends to increase sticking. If you don't have to do so (i.e. for auto feed weapons) don't crimp at all. JMHO

I had the same problem before. I took the bullet seating stem out of the die and deburred it on my rcbs trim mate. There was a burr left on the bullet seating cup.

I figured out the problem... too much powder, too small of space to put it in... thanks for the advice.
