Bullets to shoot out of a Garand?

I am taking delivery of a Garand in a short time from a fellow member, and am looking to see what type/weight bullet I should start hording.

I have no idea what twist these rifles were, nor do I have any experiance with .30 cals as a whole. I am a 6.5 guy, and decided it was finally time to cheat on my Swede, with a Garand.

Type of shooting I plan on doing with it:

Paper punching
NRA Vintage High Power of Garand only Matches
