I was looking to buy a Burris FastFire III with no mount (#300235) to put on a dedicated turkey shotgun.
But, I am finding the FF III with attached picatinny mount (#300234) is on sale, and cheaper.

Question: Is the picatinny mount removable?
Buying the included picatinny mount would seem to give me the option to remove the sight from the shotgun, reinstall the picatinny mount and then use on other weapons.

According to the instructions that came with mine, the picatinny mount is removable.
The instructions say "Most rifles/carbines require the included picatinny/weaver mounting plate. Most other handguns, shotguns & rifles require a different mount". See chart & instructions below.

FYI: Mine came assembled.

All of the various mounts for the FFs are connected to the actual optic with screws through the body. So yes, it is removable. Just realize that the actual optic needs the gasket plate or a mount to keep the unit sealed and the battery in place.

Fastfire III has a battery compartment on top behind the lens. Previous generations had bottom-loading battery compartment that required removing the mount from the optic to change batteries.
