I am looking for a scope to got on my .308. The purpose of the rifle is to shoot from 300-600 yards for fun. I have been looking at the burris fullfield 2 tactical model with 6.5x20x50 and a ballistic mil dot reticle. Does any one have any experience with this scope? Thanks in advance.

I had the plain fullfield 2, I think the only difference is the turrets and reticle.Decent scope for the money, tracked well enough, should be fine on a 308.Eye relief was a bit fussy, but overall it's not a bad scope with decent glass.I think the Tac 30 line is the same scope but with ( I think) larger adjustment range due to the 30mm tube.

I had a very different experience with my FFII. Outstanding glass for the pricepoint, but would not dial reliably or track correctly. Went back to Burris twice. I gave up and sold it.

For the money you're looking at, take a hard look at the Sightron SIII 6.5-20's. There are a few different models, some new and not here yet, but I would take one hands down ANY day over a FFII.
