I just built my 1st AR!! It's got the Stag Arms lefthand upper....I need you guys input...

I have a possible problem....I mounted a Burris P.E.P.R. scope mount and the dust cover doesn't flip all the way up because it hits the scope mount screw. Will this have any affect on shell ejection?

I've tried several positions on the Picitinny but the front mount screw always hits the dust cover....I have pictures.....how do I post them??

Front screws hits dust cover in all positions

dremel a notch in the front cover to clear the port.

I suppose you would have to shoot it and see if its gonna ding your brass up.

I have a lefty Stag A.R. with the Burris PEPR scope mount. Yes, the mount nuts limit the upward travel of the dust cover, but I've never had any ejection issues.

OK great. Thanks for the input. If I HAD to I could go to the hardware store and get a lower profile nut for the front screw.
