Rifle Scopes Burris XTR II 5-25s for $780 new?

Just curious on everyone's thoughts on the XTR IIs? I see optics planet is selling the god awful Prym1 sand? color version of this scope for $899 then another 13% off that takes it down to $780.

I figure if they are decent for that price I wouldn't care to much for a krylon refinsh just so I don't gotta look at the OEM finish on this scope.

I have a 3-15 that works well. You could probably pick up a used 5-25 for $700, so I don't know if it is worth if to buy at that sale price if you hate the color.

If I had enough posts (do I even hold 100 conversations in real life during the year? Not unless you count ones with coyotes...) I would sell mine for pretty much 700 on here so I can move on up to something else super quickly, but rules are rules! I will keep socializing :0

looked up that number 201050, it is the old discontinued version with 8 mil knobs. 201055 must be the sand version of 201054? No place is really clear on this. i was about to order, then I got scared it was the old one.

I had one of the earliest ones. It tracked well, but the glass wasn't so great above 18x, unusable at 25x IMO

hopefully they've fixed that issue
