Just wanted others' opinions on these rings. I have badger and a set of the Xtr's right now and need to replace the ones currently on the 308 with either badger or XTR. I've never had problems with the burris..which ones would you buy?

Re: Burris xtr rings

It all depends on what you're wanting to do with the rifle. Are you are equipping a rig that is going to be rode hard for competitions? Or, do you have a hunting rifle that just needs a reliable setup for the woods?

In my experience, both rings you have mentioned above are reliable & durable. I run Xtreme Rings on my rigs & have never run into issues. However, if I were a competitive shooter or LEO, I'd probably look into the Badgers.

Re: Burris xtr rings

I have had real good luck with the burris rings, never had a issue with them. On that note I do not shoot all the time and put them through the ringer every day. They have held my scope in place in my 300WSM pistol when others would'nt.

Badger rings are top notch and I think worth the money as well though. Sometimes money is the issue LOL

I have mounted the XTR's on many customers rifles and feel that they are overbuilt for the money, good sturdy rings at a heck of a price. I've mounted two mark 4's in them on top of Bushmaster .50's and neither have moved one bit and have help their zero.
