I am planning on reloading for my .308 and I am trying to decide what dies to buy. Is the bushing style die the best option or does it really matter. Also how do you determine which bushing to buy when you don't have any loaded rounds to measure? Looking at running tipped 168 SMK and lapua brass. Thanks guys

For myself, I've never felt that bushing dies are worth the trouble. I load my precision rifle loads in Redding full length sizing dies with an expander button and my 308 and 6.5 CM loads will all stay under a half minute at 100yds. The other reason I full length size is that I have more than one rifle in each caliber so I size my brass to work in all of them. I have never had an issue with case life, I'm getting 10+ reloadings from each batch of brass.
