Bushnell 6-36 question

Recently saw eurooptic has a really good price on the XRS3 6-36.

I have a few questions for the hide regarding this optic. First, some context: Ive been removed from longer range shooting for about 3 years now (not my choice) and am looking within the next 3-4 months to build up a bolt gun again and try to shoot some local matches as well as get into some predator hunting bith here in Nebraska and in my guard trips out to Utah and Idaho. Im not so much concerned about weight as my budget is pretty limited and the gym is free. My experience in the higher magnification optic space is pretty firmly in the mid tier; nx8s, mk5s, athlon cronus, etc..
My questions are:
1. Ive seen w/ sales and/or discounts this optic is generally 1600 which puts it in contention with the steiner t6xi 5-30 and burris xtr pros that I've been leaning towards. Would this price reduction make this optic worth it over the other 2?
2. Would i miss having the illumination for hunting? Never really been exposed to it and am learning everything myself so any input there is appreciated.
3. The gun this would go on Would probably be my one gun solution bolt gun (until funds permit otherwise), would this optic be a good solution for that or would the other optics im looking at be better candidates?

I thought 1200 was their normal price for the last few years. I’d prefer a cronus myself.

The Elite Tactical line has tanked since the Gen1 ERS and XRS.

I had high hopes for the Gen3 6-36 and.its actually not much better than the 5-30 MatchPro ED.

For the price, ill take a DNT The One 7-35 over the XRS3

I thought 1200 was their normal price for the last few years. I’d prefer a cronus myself.

I hadn't really considered them in the past due to lack of illumination so I hadn't seen the price drop down to 1200 if thats the case. I enjoyed my cronus while I had it but do like h59 style reticle (like the eql) more than anything else.

I did enjoy my dmr 2 6 years ago on a 6.5 creed gasser but havent looked through any bushnells since. I had been eyeing that 5-30 match pro as well. Glad to know its would be a better move than the xrs 3
