Does anyone have some first hand experience, I didn't find a lot in the search.

Bushnell 4200 FFPs...

Its between that and the Weaver FFP, Trijicon Accupoint w/exposed knobs/mil dot, Millet LRS 35mm. SS 10X rear focus, SS10X side focus.

just say they are all the exact same cost, the accupoint being $100 higher.

Biggest concerns are, durability and return to zero. positive clicks too

Re: Bushnell FFP Series

Been running a 4200 6-24 FFP for a couple months. No real complaints so far... Actually happy enough that I grabbed another one.

Click feel is pretty good.

Tracks and returns to zero as it should.

Cant really comment on durability as Ive not had it long enough to say.

Re: Bushnell FFP Series

I had a 3-12. It was a nice scope but the eye box left somethign to be desired. The 6-24s dont seem to suffer from this- or at least mine and a few others Ive looked though dont.

Id say Yes it easily runs with the MK4s. Personally I feel the features on 4200 make it a far better value than a rebadged VX3 aka MK4.

Re: Bushnell FFP Series

I dont own any of those but have looked though the Bushnell, Millet and Trijicon and have to say the Trijicon wins hands down on glass. Problem with them is the limited total elevation (dont quote me but I believe around 45 moa)

which is almost exactly the same elevation as the 6-24 bushnell...

And of course, the accupoint is about $250 more expensive, which IMO is quite significant at this level of the market.

Re: Bushnell FFP Series

I believe the Accupoint is SFP and mildot reticle with 1/4 MOA knobs. I have had two accupoints (3-9, 2.5-10) and they are great glass for the price but I don't think they can compare to the Bushnell features of FFP and mil/mil.

Re: Bushnell FFP Series

well i just got a ffp 3-12 bushnell this week and have only had time to use it on my 22lr trainer, but i was very impressed given the price. it truly does focus down to 10yards, glass is good, turrets have a good feel, lightweight comparably, reasonable amount of travel. 3-12 is great for shooting steel and match shooting. its also mil/mil. Its no schmidt and bender but the glass is in same catagory as mk4 and nxs.

If it holds up i will be getting more, very good product for the money.

before this one i had the ss 3-9 ffp on my trainer and i much prefer the bushnell.

Re: Bushnell FFP Series

i didn't notice any issues mind you the only thing i have currently to compare it to is either a bushnell fixed 10x or a s&b 4-16. obviously the s&b is better, but thats not a fair comparison.

Re: Bushnell FFP Series

One of the nice things with the Bushnell Elite series is the "Bullet Proof" warranty. If for any reason you're not happy with it in the first year, send it to Bushnell and they'll refund your purchase price. Doesn't require the scope to be defective, just you not be happy with it. Hard to beat that.

(For full disclosure I do sell these scopes as part of my job with a wholesaler. I do not sell them to anyone affiliated with Snipershide.)
