Bying new rifle!

Hi!
I resently sold my trg-22 with zeiss 6-24x56 illumated.
So now i ned a new one, i have always want a mannlicher ssg 69 whit 20" barrel.
I dont know if its matter with 20" or 26" barrel. i mean in accuracy. And what scope shuld i have? I don want a big scope a second time, im intressted in Leupold mark 4 3,5-10x40.

Welcome to the 'Hide. If you'd like a caliber upgrade over the 308 try the 6.5x55. You'll get decent barrel life and it will be like shooting a laser beam compared to the 308.

I'm not familiar with the Steyr SSG's, sorry.

We gotta get a bit of humor out of a guy from PA reccomending a 6.5x55 to a guy from Sweden.

I loved my SSG 69 PII .308 Its a good rifle mine shot very, very well but I didnt like the plastic mag well and magazines.

If you want to stick with the SSG and shoot laser beams compaired to .308 Win get a SSG in .243 Win and mess with the 107 Sierra's and 105 Lapua's.
