Hello everyone

I need your help with corect formula for calculating felt recoil for a rifle, I also would like to know how do I take into consideration the Muzzle brake or Sound spund suppressor
Since they cut of the felt recoil a lot

calculating felt recoil is almost impossible as it varies with the design of the stock, torque moments, etc. You can come close to the actual recoil figure however, by including the additional wt. of the device and the ejecta mass of the gases. Since each brake or device will be less than 100% efficient, (3rd law of thermo) this needs to be factored in.

I use this one for a simple comparison that will get you close. As soon as you add a brake or can, these results will be off. If you can find out how much a % reduction each system offers, it will get you close. I don't know if you could get it exact without actually testing it.
