I have a medium Palma 6.5x47 Lapua barrel with 1,500rds through it. It has only been chambered once and it fits with my Defiance Deviant. I’d really like to reuse the barrel since I don’t shoot that caliber anymore. Is it possible to rechamber the barrel for 6.5PRC? I’m thinking it is but I’m not a barrel maker or gunsmith. I mean could it be as simple as cutting the barrel threads off square, rechambering the barrel, and then cutting a new barrel thread? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Yes, but you never get 100% of life back. Generally not worth it.
Use search function ths has been covered over and over.

If you've already got 1500 rounds on that barrel, there isn't going to be much left if running a PRC.

You're better off spending some coin and buying a new barrel.
