I have a thunderbeast on the wait list with the atf and I was wanting to get my barrel threaded before the stamp comes through. I would really rather deal with someone local than send the gun off, but I don't want to risk it being done wrong either. A quick search on the site did not reveal any good smiths in the Memphis area, but I thought someone might know something.
Also, should the smith need the can to thread the barrel? will the threads "closer match" if he has the can? what questions should I ask a smith to know if he is competent in threading barrels for my suppressor?
