30 cal will serve him well and give him room to grow. If he gets a magnum rated can, it will handle anything under a 338.

yes a 30.cal can will work just fine on a 243wssm, i have heard one suppressed many times, and it sounds great.

Look at TBAC 30P-1. I have one on my .308, .243 win, and .300 Wmag. They work flawlessly, versatile, you can get them in a break mod, Light(16ounces), 100% titanium construction, 360-degree fully-welded baffle core
