Can I convert a .223 AICS mag to a 6 BR

I have a .204 that I have shot the barrel out of and am rebarrelling to a 6 BR. I have been running a .223 AICS mag and after taking it apart it looks like I should be able to get a BR conversion kit just like I would have to for a .308 AICS mag. I realize MDT makes 6BR magazines but if I can utilize the mag I already have I would prefer to just get the conversion kit. Has anyone tried this?

You'd have to open it up a lot. It won't fit past the feedlips.

I think you would be better off selling what you have and buying the right stuff, unless you think you wanna take a chance to ruin stuff and go through a huge learning curve. I had to mess with the correct magazine once to get it to feed, and that was enough for me.

Ok. Maybe I'll just hang on to it and buy a new one then. If it there wasn't a large amount of reconfiguring I figured I'd just use the conversion kit. Thanks for your input.
