Would it be possible to use a .308 Redding bushing neck die to neck size a 6.5x47 by just dropping in a new bushing? Just trying to save a couple of bucks where I can if I can.

Check the length of the two cases...the .308 die probably won't let you size the whole neck. Just get a Lee Collet Neck sizer...about the same price as a new bushing and you won't suffer a possible mis-alignment problem. JMHO

Your probably right, it would probably work for a .260 or .243. Now that I think about it the 6.5x47 would be a little to short.
