Gunsmithing Can this be welded?

    At first glance I'm saying yes. The piece you're holding in the second pic kinda blends in with the counter so I can't exactly tell how you're needing em joined.

    I'm assuming it's a part that broke. Can you take a picture with the parts together how they need welded with a white background or something less busy?
     
    Trigger part? Might it be more easily replaced. Welding is not the only part. It will need remachined post weld.
     
    Post what era Remington is, maybe a picture, and I bet someone has one. Numerich probably has them in stock if you just want to buy new.
     
    I was thinking it looked a lot like a safety lever. Yes that could be welded and the weld blended right out. I wouldn't think that part would be hard to find a replacement for but to answer your question, Yes I believe it can be repaired.

    Agreed not worth repairing. I think you are missing the be bigger picture. The opportunity for a new trigger assembly. Jewels and other come with a brand new safety. ;)

    What a marvelous idea! This one breaking was like an omen or something that the op deserved an upgrade.
