I am looking at getting Black hole armory to build a 6.5 CM barrel for a new AR rifle I am wanting to build.

I am looking to keep this somewhat lightweight as I plan on hunting with it in NM and OK but wont be walking for miles and miles so some weight is OK.

I am considering a 22 or 24" barrel in 1/8

I can't decide between the two or the profile. Should I go with a light profile or a standard, or even a semi bull?

I don't plan on trying to shoot past 1000 with this rifle so I am thinking 22" might be the way to go.

also is there any drawbacks to using the ar15 gas tube vs the armalite ar10 gas tube? They list the ar15 tube as an option so I am thinking it should work or would not be offered.

Also the fluting, Will it affect accuracy? even if I go with something funky like the honeycomb? it is supposed to lighten the barrel the most.

THanks for the help guys, This is my first Long Range semi auto so appreciate all the help I can get.

I'd check out JPs 22" 6.5 CM barrel and headspaced bolt combo as well as Precision Firearms' Bartlein Creedmoor tubes. JPs are a bit lighter, but Precisions' barrel isn't much of an increase with the medium HBAR contour. They're both $615+ though. Fulton Armory used to sell some pretty sweet 22" Kreigers in 6.5 too. Not sure of they still do though...
