Looks like one of the old springfield armory rifles that they had imported. It was a copy of the HK-91. I think that it was called a SR-8

This is correct! I am impressed. I got #00071. These rifles were banned almost immediately back in 94. Only a few hundred made it into the US. It was a lucky find. You guys would not believe how heavy this thing is. It is difficult to find any information on thir rifle anywhere anymore. Its like it is being erased from existence.

They are heavy buggers, but you will be hard-pressed to find a more reliable rifle. These rifles were also sub-MOA capable with good ammo/shooter.
I looked high and low for one before I ended up giving up the search and built my MSG-90 clone instead!
