Can you use a Garmin Tempe instead of the Sig Kilo 10K onboard sensor

Hi Guys,
As per post title.
Can you use a Garmin Tempe instead of the Sig Kilo 10K onboard temp sensor?
Either using just the 10K's or AB Quantum?
The 10K's get really warm in the sun on a tripod.
