I received a threatening PM from captgizmo regarding our V8 Atlas Bipod, he apparently believes a "push button" is somehow novel...(from what I know, captgizmo's patent efforts consist of claiming "Patent Pending" but never patented. As of today, we have several patent claims on the Atlas awarded and are working towards additional ones.)

The push button as to control the leg positioning is not one of our claims, so captgizmo can make the claim he invented the concept of a push button.

Anyhow, The reason for this post is that I have had people tell me that captgizmo has taken several thousand dollars from them for products he never delivered.

So if you are looking to collect from him, he is alive and he apparently lurks here.

I never understood why people would buy Alamo Four Star products with a reputation like that, even from a distributor that stocks them. Not knocking the distributor at all, but still why support alamo four star products. .

This is exactly why I SUPPORT companies like Atlas, stand up, honest, and customer friendly going out of their way to do things right.

Wow! Our phone has been ringing non-stop and it has been pointed out that my math might be off, it might be hundreds of thousands of dollars owed!

And much to my dismay, I now realize we use coil springs in the Atlas, guess that is yet another infringement on yet another Patent Pending gizmo.

there are several push button controlled patents if you use the Google Patent Search...

Does Alamo 4 Stars even make a bipod ? or is he claiming to be sitting on a patent for a non-existent product.

Some people are alive only because it would be illegal to kill them!! I have been building custom Harley Davidsons for over 35 yrs. and every now and agian some ass clown claims he invented shit we did 20yrs ago. Makes me miss the late 60's where we just kick their ass and laugh while we passed their girlfriend around!! Met a few of my x wifes that way.

See, I am actually willing to submit novel concepts to the USPTO for consideration in getting claims allowed resulting in a patent. So this being the case, we actually have a Patent lawyer which is constantly processing stuff for us. I will not run "Patent Pending" unless we have actually filed the proper paperwork to make such a claim.

But please don't get caught up in reality, you have to think crazy. Like, walk into McDonalds and tell the clerk they should offer potatoes cut into long strips and fried on their menu. Then when they reply they have them and they are called "french fries", start claiming that you made that suggestion and threaten to sue.

My lawyer friend always told me, its one thing to have a patent, but you damn well be willing to defend it if your planning on getting one.
