My question is about loading for carbon barrels (if it is a load issue) I had a 280ai savage with a pre fit proof sendero win a a3 sporter in mcwoody and while that was probably the most handsome rifle I’ve ever owned I sold it because I don’t hunt and sub 1” accuracy wasn’t there for the amount of work I was willing to put into it. While complaining about this beautiful rifle an old timer at the gun shop told me that carbon barrels in his experience are finicky when it comes to load development. Now I happened upon a 6.5mm 16” proof sendero a few months ago I was going to make a shorty 6.5x47 out of and was wondering if y’all had any experience that either contradicts or supports his claim. And how I might over come it without spending a ton of money in powder and bullets.
